Carolina Forest History
Carolina Forest...was created out of necessity in the 1990's. As people continued to move into the Myrtle Beach area, there was a lack of available homes. Carolina Forest was built as a "bedroom" community. An area in which people would live but would travel outside of the area to go to work. This planned community has two shopping areas on either end of Carolina Forest Blvd. The school system and buildings are new as are all the other infrastructure needed for a community.Carolina Forest continues to grow each passing year as retirees move down from the north. Roads are being expanded to allow for the extra traffic (this was also planned). More commercial space is opening up in the shopping centers as they are expanded.
Family friendly is the motto of this community.
